For several weeks now, your fans have been able to filter their notifications. They now have control over the types of notifications they want to receive.

Notifications can be used to alert your fans to news, important information that they shouldn't miss or a goal scored/ score update. This makes it easier for you to communicate with your fans. By personalising your communication, you increase the involvement of your fans, and therefore their loyalty.

For sending notifications, you have several choices of content, we will suggest some of them:

1. Pre-match notifications

To keep your fans waiting, and to give them important information before each event. You can send them notifications to :

  • Announce the opening of the ticket office. Your fans will be alerted instantly to access the box office and have the opportunity to purchase a seat. But also, you can use notifications to warn of the box office closing, and create a sense of urgency among your fan community.
  • Notify the line-up. Before every game, fans want to know which players are going to start the match. Consider sending a notification to announce the line-up. Sponsored notifications allow you to do several things such as

  • Announce a new sponsor. A partnership agreement with a company is a commitment and a source of pride for a club. By sending a notification for this new partner, you will communicate the information to your fans, but also make your sponsor more visible and known.
  • You can sell this notification space to your partners. By opting for this option, you will increase your revenues and above all diversify the sources. It is an additional exposure space for your partner.

3.Game Notifications

It is essential to create a link, and to stay in constant contact with your fans. Therefore, you can create appointment times through notifications to enhance the fan experience, and continue to build fan loyalty. There are several options available to you, such as

  • Create weekly appointments for your fans. If you want to engage your fans, it is essential to have daily interaction. This is the point of creating weekly appointments, for example every Tuesday send a notification to announce a specific game. Fans will look forward to the notification so they can play.
  • Thank your fans for their participation. Your fans like to feel part of the club. By sending a personalized notification to congratulate them on winning a prize, or thank them for their participation, your fans will reinforce the passion they have for their favorite club.

It is essential not to overuse notifications, if you send notifications all day long, your fans may unsubscribe from the notifications. This would not be very useful, and your fans will think about deleting the application.
